As a competitive gymnast Joanna has always had a passion for dynamic movement and pushing the limits of her body. While many years of gymnastic training strengthened her form, it was not until she became serious with her yoga practice that she strengthened the abilities of her mind as well. She became a certified instructor in 2015, completing her training in the south of Thailand. Since then she has been teaching a variety of classes but her favourite will always be vinyasa flow. Perhaps the most challenging part of this faster paced class is matching breath to movement, a skill that requires deep presence on the mat. As a passionate traveller, Registered Nurse, and newbie to Kenora she is able to incorporate and benefit from yoga in all aspects of her life.
